It was such a thrill this month to win this award in London. I had not exhibited with the society before and this was the first time I had entered a painting for one of their shows. Their Annual Exhibition is held every year at the Mall Galleries in London, with other exhibitions held around the UK throughout the year. They have been exhibiting as a society since 1857 and enjoy Royal patronage from HRH Princess Michael of Kent.
The exhibition is juried, whereby artists must submit works to be judged on their merits by a panel of society members, before being selected for exhibition. My entry for this year was a black and white Clarinet entitled - "All That Jazz"
Many thanks to the society for this splendid award!
