December '09 Award RSASA Summer Exhibition
Award at Royal Society Exhibition.
Last month I was privileged to receive another Award of Merit at the Royal Societies Annual Summer Exhibition in Adelaide. Those who have been following my blogs will know that I began exhibiting with the Society in Autumn this year and that this award is the second of three required in order to be invited to become an Associate member by the committee.
Once again it was a lovely show put on by the Society in their North Terrace Gallery which is part of the State Library.
Thank you to the committee for this award!

November '09 Limited & Remarked Giclee Editions
Limited and Remarked Giclee' Editions of selected paintings now available!
-1.jpg)
I have been fortunate for many years to have several of my paintings published as open edition prints by the London based publisher Rosenstiel's. However, I am often asked if I have any limited editions of my work available and so after much research and enlisting the help of several experienced professionals we are happy to announce that we are releasing small editions of Limited and Remarked Giclees' on canvas of selected works.
''Tuscan Summer Peaches I & II'
Limited Edition Giclees on Canvas
A Giclee is the modern method of ink-jet based digital printing used to produce high quality, gallery grade reproductions of fine art. Using archival inks a skilled printer is able to produce high resolution, pixel-free images with great clarity directly on to canvas or paper.

'Classical Notes'
Remarked Giclee on Canvas
My Giclees are printed on high quality Canson canvas and such is the technology today, it can be difficult to discern the original from the print. We are producing small exclusive edition sizes which are available stretched, unstretched or framed. Starting at only Au$420 these hand signed and remarked prints would make the ideal Christmas gift.
We are in the process of adding a new section to the website dedicated to these Limited and Remarked Edition Giclees. In the meantime should you have any queries or require further information, please email me at pippa@pippachapman.com
November '09 Australian 3DE Fund Raising Auction
The Australian Equestrian International Three Day Event, Rymill Park, Adelaide
In May Olympic Gold Medalist Wendy Schaeffer approached me with her fund raising idea of an auction for a commissioned portrait for their up-coming event I was only too pleased to help. Having been a competitor myself in the past, I was keen to get involved in such a high profile event. I was thrilled to be invited as a guest of the committee for the final days competition on which the auction would be held.

The Hospitality Marquee & portrait commission
It was a searing day with record breaking temperatures for the time of year, but it didn't break the spirit of the horses or riders who maintained their composure to produce an exciting competition. With three Olympic Gold Medalists vying for the top prize, the final day of competition proved to be an enthralling spectacle.
The fund raising auction was supported by an enthusiastic crowd and with spirited bidding my donation of the portrait commission was won by a generous supporter of Eventing SA, with all proceeds being used for the event and supporting the Olympic bid of our world class riders.
We wish the team all the very best for the FEI World Equestrian Games in 2010.

October '09 Leukaemia Foundation Charity Ball
Leukaemia Foundation Ball and Charity Auction, Adelaide.
In May this year I donated a painting to the Leukaemia Foundation to be auctioned at their Charity Ball, which was held at the Adelaide Hilton on the 31st (see May Blog). It was a fabulous night for a wonderful cause! The foundation put on a superb event which was hosted royally by the Hilton Hotel. With Tom Burlinson performing Sinatra classics together with a very generous audience, the 'Swing into Action Ball' was a huge success and raised much needed funds for the foundations' accommodation village here in Adelaide.

'Ode to the Barossa'
16" x 20"
Oil on Linen
The painting, which was named by the chief sponsor, BAE Systems, 'Ode to the Barossa' made $4000 thanks to enthusiastic bidding and a very entertaining auctioneer! We thank the winning bidder for their generosity with all proceeds raised going directly to the charity.
We wish the Leukaemia Foundation all the very best with their future endeavours!

October '09 Melbourne Exhibition
Glenferrie Road Contempory Art Gallery, Malvern, Melbourne.
This month I was invited to exhibit in a 'Two Man Show' at a new gallery which recently opened in the heart of Melbourne's Art and Antiques district. It is a lovely modern gallery perfectly situated amid the antique shops and cafes' in one of the oldest inner city villages of Melbourne.
The opening night was very busy and the gallery quickly filled with invited guests and passers by dropping in for a glass of wine and private veiwing.

'Lemons' 12" x 22" Oil on linen
I wish Sharyn and David every success with their new gallery!

August '09 Manyung Gallery Exhibition
Manyung Gallery August Exhibition, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.
August heralds another exhibition, this time at the beautiful Tuscan style gallery situated near the seaside resort of Mornington on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. Having spent my childhood in and around this beautiful region, it holds many fond memories for me, and although a lot has changed, Manyung Gallery is still there and known locally as the Tuscan Castle, where they display a rich and diverse range of work. It is one of the nicest galleries on the Peninsula and well worth a visit.

'Magnolia' 25" x 25" Oil on canvas
Once again the staff at Manyung put on a lovely show with works from eight artists and even though the styles ranged from classical realism to abstract art, they all complimented each other beautifully.
Thank you Sharyn and David for such a terrific show! It's wonderful to be exhibiting with you again!
